Overview

Information Technology allow students to explore how computers work. Students learn the functionality of hardware and software components as well as suggested best practice in maintenance and safety issues. Through hands on activities and labs, students learn how to assemble and configure a computer, install operating systems and software, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems.

 

The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming more deeply embedded in our day-to-day lives at home and at work. We may begin to hear the term itself used less frequently – but that’s because it’s moving out of the hype phase and quickly becoming a part of everyday life.

The Introduction to Cybersecurity. In a world with more data, more users, and more services, there's more to protect. Meanwhile, cyber threats are constantly evolving, getting smarter and more sophisticated. The world is getting more digital and having the skills to secure devices is critical to solving the challenges we face. For instance, you’ll learn how to protect your personal privacy online while gaining additional insight on the challenge’s companies, and governmental and educational institutions face today. No prerequisites required.

 

The Introduction to Networking and Cisco Routing and Switching courses. begin preparing for a networking career with this introduction to how networks operate. This includes learning the architecture, structure, and functions needed to support current and future networks. You will even get the chance to configure a network yourself, such as a simple LAN (Local Area Network). After completing these courses, you will have a working knowledge of routing, switching, network applications and protocols. This is the first and second course in a 4-course series designed to prepare you for entry-level networking jobs. No prerequisites required.
